Yellow & Black Parlophone Label
MONO LP - UK RELEASE
PMC.1206 - XEX.447-7N / XEX.448-7N
THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 2ND PRESSING IN MONO FROM 1963.
Never released on gold lettering, this release first appears with the typical yellow block writing.
The "All rights of the manufacturer" message around the edge of the label starts with "The Parlophone Co. Ltd."
The label DOES have "Recording first published 1963", but NOT "Sold in the U.K..." statement.
Side 2: Label now correctly spells track 3 as "You Really Got A Hold on Me"
Side 2: The publishing credit for "Money" now says "Dominion Belinda".
The "KT Tax Code" is embossed on side 1.
Tracks include: ALL MY LOVING - TILL THERE WAS YOU - PLEASE MISTER POSTMAN - ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN - DEVIL IN HER HEART - MONEY - etc etc.
Condition:
Sleeve: GOOD+ : Garrod & Lofthouse "Flipback" sleeve, with all seams intact. Some edge creasing, and the usual corner scuffs, and some creasing to the laminate along the opening edge. All edges are good and without splits. The opening edge has a small tear mid way up, and light handling marks. The reverse is clean and free of writing or stickers, and shows on light handling marks. The spine is still strong and with bold title print.
It comes complete with the original "Emitex" lined sleeve, in very good clean condition and free of creases, but with small splits to two edges.
Record: EXCELLENT : This vinyl is in beautiful clean condition, especially for its age.
Under very close examination it does show several very small light hairlines and a couple of small surface scuffs, but these really are difficult to see - and certainly do not effect the excellent playback quality.
The labels are clean and bright, but do show average spindle wear. The "KT" Tax Code is clearly visibly embossed on side 1.
I enjoyed listening to the album for the wonderful original MONO sound. Plays exceptionally well throughout - with no skips or jumps, and just some light static audible between some tracks.

I try to accurately describe the condition as per The Record Collector's Guide's parameters:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or unplayed should be mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have some slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.
