Description
The Beatles - White Album
Apple PMC 7067/8, 1968 First UK pressing Mono
Classic Beatles album in EX+ condition, numbered 0070361 – very early number which is likely to be a 1st day sleeve as The White Album sold over 200,000 copies in the first week of release; original black inner sleeves with all photos and inserts present and correct in EX+ condition.
Matrix numbers: XEX 709-1, XEX 710-1, XEX 711-1, XEX 712-1
Vinyl: All four sides are in EX+ /NM condition. There are a few paper scuffs per side and under a bright lamp several small and extremely light hairline marks; there are no skips or hard scratches and playability and sound quality is superb throughout.
Sleeve & labels: The outer sleeve is the original Garrod and Lofthouse fully laminated top-loader gatefold sleeve with ‘The Beatles’ embossed and very low number No. 0070361. The spine is in good condition with all lettering clear. There is minor wear of corners with a small (half cm) wear through laminate in top left corner. There are no marks and all flap-backs are perfectly stuck down. Overall sleeve condition probably EX. Original black inner sleeves are present with some wear and tear. The original Apple labels with “sold in UK subject to…” are in pristine condition with very little spindle marking. However, please note that the owner has written his/her name on all four labels in black pen (this may be removable with solvent, although this has not been attempted).
Inserts: All four photos are present and in EX+ condition with all corners in good condition. The original fold-out poster and lyric inner is also present and in near-mint EX+ condition (no rips/tears/marks etc).
This is a rare opportunity to buy an early numbered copy of this legendary Beatles album in superb condition. Good luck with bidding!
