THE BEATLES - The Beatles (The White Album)
Original U.K. Numbered Mono LP
Apple (PMC 7068)
Rare original numbered mono top opener with a relatively low number. Labels have "Sold in UK..." and "An EMI Recording" text. Comes complete with poster, prints & black inners, housed in laminated gatefold sleeve. Side two label has the KT tax code stamp, side three label has the rarer KJT tax code stamp. Not a mint copy here, sleeve is very nice, records show a fair amount of play, but there are no scratches & playback is very nice, a strong excellent for playback.
Matrix:
Side 1) XEX 709-1 (JAA)
Side 2) XEX 710-1 (3 GRO)
Side 3) XEX 711-1 (1 MT)
Side 4) XEX 712-1 (2 OG)
The sleeve is in vg++ condition with nothing major to report. Usual corner wear, general light wear with slight start of ringwear. No splits, writing, tears, bends etc. A solid example with a relatively early number of: 0031,437.
Both black inner sleeves are present, again in vg++ condition, very minor tears around the die cuts & the usual creasing.
Poster is in vg+ condition, no tears, writing, tape or holes, but does have light creasing & some light dirtying.
The four photos are in relatively poor condition with light dirtying, pin holes & tape residue.
The labels are in excellent condition with no spindle wear and just a few spider marks. There are a couple of small light smudges on two of the labels, probably a thumb mark. Has KT & KJT Tax Codes.
The vinyl is in vg+ condition with some of its original sheen with signs of being played. Has some light hairlines & scuffs & the odd light mark. Only one scuff can be felt lightly, the rest cannot be felt. Playback is excellent with only some light crackle and not in all the quiet parts. No jumps or sticks & only the occasional light pop. Certainly not trashed, but also not for the mint collectors. A very nice listening experience.
Please note that this grading has nothing to do with the age of the record, we grade all records the same whether they are 40 years old or 4 days old.
For the last 20 years we have been looking through 100's & even 1,000's of records every week, but we still only pull out a tiny percentage to sell on.
Condition
Sleeve: VG++ (No tears, splits, writing or bends. Slight ringwear, corner wear & general light wear) Record: VG+ (still has some original sheen with some signs of being played. Some light hairlines, scuffs & marks, only one of which can be lightly felt & this does not effect play. Playback grades as excellent with only the lightest of occasional crackle & the odd light pop. A very nice listening experience) Our grading is strict so as not to disappoint, we have been selling on ebay since 1998 & know how important this is. Grading of records is done with the record angled under a 100 Watt bulb. Scans are of actual item up for auction. All records are packed securely & most importantly packed outside of the picture sleeve (in a plain inner sleeve) so as to avoid seam splits during shipping.SHIPPING COSTS

Near Mint
Almost mint.Very minor paper scuffs and very little else can appear on the vinyl. This will most likely have occurred during packaging, or removing the record from the inner sleeve but obviously it had been handled with extreme care.Any flaw should be very hard to see. The cover should look as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and/or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork should be as close to perfect as can be.
Excellent
An excellent condition for vinyl will allow minor scuffs (Scuffs lay on top of the grooves) which are visible but only slightly. The wear should be minimal. The play should be close to perfect as well. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear. Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show a little white, meaning slight wear. No seam splits or writing on the cover or taped repairs.
VG++
As Excellent but with a larger number of scuffs, maybe a couple of hairlines (very light scratch that can't be felt) or a couple of marks. Sound quality should still be very close to that of an Excellent record with only minor crackle in quiet segments only, NO scratches that can be felt. Cover as Excellent but there may be a small seam split on the cover, or a very minimal amount of writing like a name written in small writing or a number. A VG++ record should be an acceptable record to live with if you aren't looking to pay the price of a Near Mint copy.
