The first pressing of The Beatles – The Beatles was released without the 'E.M.I. Recording' text in error.

The Beatles White Album

UK mono 1st pressing in fully laminated top opening, gatefold sleeve. Individually numbered. This copy is number 0043913. Includes 4 picture cards, original fold out poster and original black inner sleeves.

CONDITION: Sleeve: Very good. Clean but shows some signs of wear. A couple of light creases, top opening is still clean. Spine is faintly legible. Very slight damage on lower back, see pictures.

Labels: Excellent (Only some spindle marks visible when held up to the light)

Vinyls:  Both records have been well played (by me in those days!) and both have a few marks. I don’t know how the album plays as I haven’t played it for many many years and have no decent turntable to test it on now.

Side 1: Some surface scratches

Side 2: Also with some scratches and scuffs

Side 3: a couple of small surface scratches

Side 4: A couple of surface scratches

Inner sleeves: All intact although well used and seams slightly split

Pictures: Excellent. Just a small tear to lower Paul McCartney

Poster: Well used and starting to split on folds. Some scuffs and light marks and sellotape evidence at the corners (Well, I did love the Beatles!)

 

All very first issues of the white album came with top opening, Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold sleeves with  black inners, poster and four colour prints. The vinyl had dark green labels, with a small circled "p" next to the date (see pictures) 

 

THIS IS A COMPLETE GENUINE RARE UK ORIGINAL, BOUGHT BY ME IN LONDON IN 1968 AND IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO BUY A COMPLETE EXAMPLE OF ONE OF THE MOST HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE and VALUABLE VINYL ALBUMS OF ALL TIME.
