Description
Spanning blues and psychedelia, country and folk, and literally everything in between, this epic 1968 album is both beautiful and ferocious in equal measures. Creating the blue print for the double album, this is certainly one of, if not the, most important albums in the history of Rock music.

Crossover Pressing - Side 2 DOES NOT have 'An EMI Recording' written on the label
VINYL: All four sides have experienced a lot of play - this is evident in the marks on the surface of the vinyl itself. Most of the marks are merely superficial and non-feelable. However, Track One of Side One (Back In The USSR) has experienced a good deal of groove wear that is clearly visible on the first half of the song (see close up picture). This creates some surface noise but it is mostly overpowered by the music. All four sides play through well without any jumps or skips. However, there is background crackle that sounds throughout. There is also a very brief hiss at the start of Side Two (less than a second). In my opinion, the surface noise is not sufficient enough to overpower or distract from any of the songs, therefore I am happy to grade all four sides VG on the whole. Please do not bid if you are expecting a MINT copy.
LABEL: The iconic original Apple labels are generally in decent condition, however there are three small initials written on Side 2 and Side 3 (see pictures).
Unfortunately the original photographs, poster and black inners have been misplaced over the years so are not included.
SLEEVE: The fully laminated top loading Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve is in generally decent condition. There is slight age related discolouration and a few minor scuffs but no rips or tears. The embossed 'The Beatles' lettering and the number is still very clear. The spine is slightly worn on the surface (see picture) but luckily this does not affect the writing and it is certainly not worn through.
All four sides have been play tested, honestly described and carefully graded. This is not a perfect example of this classic album but it still sounds great in its original MONO form.
