THE BEATLES "YELLOW SUBMARINE"
UK APPLE RECORDS cat# PCS 7070 STEREO
Matrices end -1 / -1
**********************************************************
A 1969 first UK pressing from the brilliant Beatles - and though not many rate this as their finest work, there are still some outstanding moments here on side 1.
This album was embellished by George Martin, whose soundtrack compositions made up side 2.
The lp plays well, the music leaps from the grooves and Apple pressings are very high quality too.
Visually there's obvious scuffs, so it's important that the pressing is strong.
This edition is the sought after FIRST issue with the red lines framing the text on the rear of the 'flipback' cover.
CONDITION;
The VINYL is VG/VG- with some scuff marks. Not diminishing the shine or affecting the playback much at all. There's slight noise between tracks.
These sides were cut nicely, the music has a dimension that projects the sound with clarity.
Dark Green APPLE Labels are in VG CONDITION, no stickers or tears.
The FRONT LAMINATED COVER is VG with some wear and discolouring in the white areas.
There's a little pen on the rear, but not too obtrusive.
Please see pics.
