Cover
The original Garrod & lofthouse top opening numbered gatefold cover is really nice with no tears, stickers or writing and grades a solid EXCELLENT..it is more of a creamy colour now than white but is still a nice example
Front: Very clean with just a little ageing in places, there is no laminate damage or bad ring wear,a few creases are evident. The corner tips are nice with just a tiny bit of rubbing,it has the very low limited edition number 0078620 which is very clear and unfaded as is the beatles text
Inside gatefold: Again like the front, very clean with no damage and no laminate wrinkling
Back: Exactly the same as the front,it has a little ageing but no bad ring wear...just light record indentation, few creases and a little rubbing on the corner tips
Spine: The spine is unsplit but does have some laminate flaking and a little wear, the text is all just readable
Overall a very nice cover
Poster
The lypstick kiss garrod & lofthouse uk poster is MINT- with no tears, stickers or writing and has never been hung on a wall
Photos
Original first issue glossy photos are in MINT condition,no damage and never been put on a wall
Original inners
The original black die cut inners are in EXCELLENT++/MINT- condition with no damage or splits
Labels:
The labels are in NEAR MINT condition, looking very close you can see a few very faint and small spindle marks, side 1 is "kt" stamped
Records
Visually the records which are both unwarped are in really nice condition with full gloss and shine, they grade as follows, side 1,3 and 4 in normal light look near mint with no deep scratches..under very strong light you can see some very faint marks/scratches so would grade EXCELLENT- to EXCELLENT.Side 2 however has some marks and 3 noticeable marks....not deep scratches,so i would grade side 2 as VERY GOOD..both discs are unwarped
Side 1 plays really well with no sound distortion and it does not stick or jump,in a few places there are little bits of background noise which can be heard..mostly in quieter passages.Side 2 plays well with some static crackle..few light "ticks" and a couple of "pops" on "blackbird".Awesome start to side 3..very loud..the tracks all play excellent with no sound distortion or loud background noise and it does not stick or jump, you can in places hear some light static but nothing that overshadows the music..original records from this era had static "built in".Side 4 like side 3 plays really well..no sound distortion..no sticks and no jumps...there are no loud crackles etc, the tracks play excellent to near mint with no major issues..in places just few bits of light static
ALTOGETHER A FANTASTIC AND RARE EARLY PRESS!!
