THE BEATLES ‘BEATLES FOR SALE’ 1964 STEREO LP.

GB first press released on Parlophone PCS 3062 [Yellow/Black label].

Matrix codes etc.

Side 1: YEX 142*-1   4  MP   * The '2' is hand etched over another number.

Side 2: YEX 143-1  10 AT

Has the "Sold in the UK..." statement, the rim text has "The Parlophone Co..etc" in upper case, the "KT" tax code.

Play grades as EX/EX-.

Both sides have a few light surface marks visible in normal light, one of which runs across most of the side,  also there are quite a few more visible under strong halogen lights.

Has been played quite a bit because there are quite a few spider lines around the spindle hole on each side, but there is no wear to the holes themselves.

Side 1 has a few light 'tics' about 1/2 way through track 2, otherwise all tracks play really well with the dead wax on the run in having a couple of light 'clicks' and the dead wax between tracks ranging from being almost silent to a little light crackle.

Side 2 has a little light crackle in the run in that just runs into track1, track 5 has a little light background during the first half & track 6 has a little light crackle at the start. The dead wax between tracks has a little light crackle.

There are no jumps, sticks or distortion.

Outer laminated gatefold sleeve grades as VG-.

Complete except for a small piece missing from the front, bottom right corner. The spine is unflattened but is worn and the text is missing. There are small laminate edge creases and some larger creases in the laminate in the main body of the front of the sleeve.

EMITEX, paper-lined inner grades as EX.

I dispatch records in brand new, bought in mailers designed for the process. Before placing in the mailer I take LPs out of the sleeve place both in a polysleeve and between two card stiffeners and if there is a picture sleeve I place the LP in a plain sleeve to prevent knifing of the picture sleeve. [all this costs £0.80/single LP].

I normally ship within 1/2 working days of receipt of payment but occasionally, due to work commitments, it can be up to 3 days.

I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.

(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.

(EX) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.

(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

(B) BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.  

All items are shipped using Royal Mail and I always obtain proof of posting for items. 

You will receive a confirmation e-mail from me on the day that the item is shipped.

United Kingdom shipments should arrive in 2-5 business days from date of shipping.

For International buyers, shipping is by air mail and shipments should arrive in 5- 10 business days from date of shipping.

Delivery times are approximate, they are in business days after the item is shipped. Also please be aware, especially for International shipping, that circumstances beyond my control after shipping can cause delays.

International Buyers are responsible for Import/Custom duties/fees wherever applicable.
