On offer is an ORIGINAL PARLOPHONE MONO EARLY SECOND pressing of this classic 1966 LP by the BEATLES. This early 2nd pressing features GRAMOPHONE CO LTD and SOLD IN UK...   label text and sleeve still has the original FIRST PRESS incorrect  DR ROBERT song title. Whereas the PARLOPHONE record label on Side 2 is the same as the FIRST PRESS using the original ARIAL typeset label the label on Side 1 is the NEW LAYOUT with TIMES NEW ROMAN TEXT so must be a very early 2nd PRESS from late 1966 when this new label layout was first introduced.
Visually graded under a bright light there are numerous visual marks, predominantly hairlines and paper marks but also some more noticeable marks and blemishes which on playing do cause the odd click and pop and some minor surface noise audible in quiet parts. Hence record is graded at VERY GOOD PLUS. The BLACK and YELLOW PARLOPHONE labels are graded at EXCELLENT MINUS - with some visible spindle marks but no writing or other marks. The thin card FRONT LAMINATED, FLIPBACK, GARROD & LOFTHOUSE SLEEVE is graded at EXCELLENT MINUS - with odd corner ding and some minor discoloration to the opening and white back edging. Spine 100% and fully legible with no splits etc.
All records are shipped in new cardboard record mailers with plastic sleeves and cardboard spacers as necessary.
