This is an auction for The Beatles LP, The Beatles (white album).

This was released by Apple records in 1968 and has catalogue number PMC7067. This is the 1st press with a top opening G&L gatefold sleeve, dark green Apple label with "Sold In U.K.' label text. This one is numbered 0109393 and is mono. Please check the pictures for clarification.

Condition: The gatefold sleeve has some light discolouring marks, some of which will clean, some lamination creases seen under a strong light. A very discreet pen mark to the centre right edge, buffing to the very corners and a little wavering seen along the mouth edge. The spine has some dirt/discolouring marks,  the spine text is still legible but a little distorted by the dirt and lamination crease. Edges fine, no tears or creases, centre ex, flipback edges ex, this still creaks when opening. Graded at VG+.

This comes with its two original black inner sleeves that are a little tatty and both have tears on the front, Please check the pictures.

This also comes with 4 postcards and one poster, these are not the original ones, that would of been included, as I took them from another white album and added them, these are mint,

All four labels look clean,and new, Under close examination, label one has just a touch of centre wear and some spindle trails. Label two only has a few spindle trails and no centre wear. Label three has only a few spindle trails and one tiny picking spot at 11 o'clock to the very centre and again the slightest amount possible of centre wear. Label four looks brand new with perhaps two spindle trails and no centre wear. All pictured on supersize, superb labels with no finger marks, stains, discolouring and not far of as good as you can find them.

Appearance: The vinyl retains its new shine, numerous light and feather scratches can be seen on all four sides, mostly under a strong light. I have of course test played this through all four sides and took the following notes.

Side 1, Nice quiet entry, strong and clear audio, in silent crossover between track 3 and 4 two quiet ticks are heard, other than that there was no noteworthy feckling whatsoever. Quiet breaks and entries, no distortion, fading or dragging and playing with very little lessening in sound quality. Looking at the amount of spindle trails on label two, side one has been played a few times only, hence there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality due to wear. This side plays at Near Mint.

Side 2, Strong audio, first few rotations a few quiet crackles are heard, this completely clears until we get to the very end of the "blackbird" song where a quiet tick can be heard for perhaps 4 or 5 rotations only, again this completely clears to just have the occasional quiet audible crackle heard in the track "don't pass me by". At the very start of the track "I will" a quiet tick can once more just be heard, like above this soon completely fades out to just once more have the occasional quiet crackle heard. Fact is the only feckling heard on this side is at the record quietest moments and on its quietest tracks. Because the audio is very strong this drowns out any feckling that may be occuring, with all audible noises being way in the background and quiet in comparison to the music. Playing with no distortion, fading or dragging. Judging by the amount of spindle trails, this side is the most played and hence probably suffers just a touch of deterioation in sound quality due to wear (occasional crackle). This side plays at VG+.

Side 3, Fine silent entry, this side plays superbly well with the audio being very strong on this side. The only two notes I took were that at the very end of track two a few very quiet crackles are just heard and on track four the very occasional very quiet crackle is just heard. Quiet breaks and entries, playing with no distortion, fading or dragging heard whatsoever and playing with very little lessening in sound quality. Judging by the spindle trails and audio this side has been played a few times at most, hence not suffering much, if any, lessening due to wear. This side plays at Near Mint.

Side 4, Fine silent entry, strong audio, In the first track I did just hear the occasional very quiet crackle, this completely clears. In the silent crossover from track 3 "Cry Baby Cry" to track 4 "Revolution" a quiet tick is heard, this is for perhaps  3 or 4 spins only, this completely disapears to just leave us once more with an occasional quiet crackle, this can just be heard very occasionaly through the crazyness of the second to last track and on the last track. Playing with no distortion, fading or dragging and playing with very little lessening in sound quality. The label shows this side is also hardly played and thus not suffering from much lessening in sound quality due to wear. This side plays at VG+.

This record is graded at VG+, hardly played, superb labels, nice sleeve, with surface marks that on occasion are audible. Just want to add I have not given this a clean and do suspect that some of the quiet crackles heard are perhaps dust, so given a good clean may see this play even better.
