THE BEATLES – YESTERDAY & NOWHERE MAN ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS 1966 7" VINYL EPs. VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ CONDITION

The Fab Four’s eleventh and twelfth EP releases, the first reaching No.1 in the UK EP charts, the second only No.4.

I’ve listed each EP below with gradings for vinyl, labels and sleeves. Plus Catalogue Numbers, Matrix and Stampers. With a few additional notes. I think this covers all the relevant information, but if you would like any further information I’d be happy to try and provide it.

Yesterday: Side 1 – Yesterday; Act Naturally; Side 2 – You Like Me Too Much; It’s Only Love.

Stampers:  A side: 2 O; B side 1 R (KT is stamped at 12 o/clock)
Gradings (Vinyl/Label/Sleeve): VG/EX/VG          
1st press Vinyl has lots of fine hairlines and surface marks, one noticeable scratch (not deep). Labels have spindle wear. They have P1965 text, Gramophone rimtext with “Sold in the UK” text and KT stamp. The cover has creasing (particularly to front towards opening edge), a little rim wear, furring to opening edge with a very small tear and minimal storage wear to corners. The rear has a little scuff but the external flipbacks are intact.

Gradings (Vinyl/Label/Sleeve): VG+/EX/G++
1st press Vinyl has lots of  fine hairlines and surface marks. Labels have some spindle wear otherwise very clean. They have P1965” text, Gramophone rimtext, “Sold in the UK” text and KT stamp. Sadly, the cover has creases (particularly to front), the opening edge has furring with some tearing and a little laminate is missing. Minimal storage wear to corners, light rim wear and handling marks.The rear shows age discolouration and spots. The external flipbacks are intact.

These two are probably the hardest to come by, and the most sort after, of all the Beatles EPs. Sadly, the covers are not the best examples you will find but the discs are in decent condition. Both are still very desirable and collectable discs. Rare Records Price Guide quotes them at £195 combined (in mint condition of course!!). So this is a really low, and realistic, starting price based on their condition.

I have been a Beatles fan since the day I sat down in 1973 to listen to the ‘Blue Album’. As a young lad this was the first time I had consciously listened to the band. From the first few bars of Strawberry Fields Forever, I was hooked. So it is with a very heavy heart that I now have to sell my vinyl collection!  I have been selling a number of items recently but now need to let the vinyl go. I am not a dealer, so please accept my gradings as being as honest as I can make them without a professional background or equipment. Unless stated the gradings are visual, as I just don’t have the time to play grade everything.

Each record will be removed from it’s original sleeve and dispatched in a plain white sleeve. Both sleeve and record will be placed in an individual protective, clear PVC sleeve and dispatched in a record mailer with stiffeners.

I always obtain a proof of posting from Post Office.

To ensure all items are traceable when sending overseas, I will only use Royal Mail’s International Tracked service. Ebay/Paypal insist that they will only credit or believe the items have been sent, when the seller can provide a tracking number. So that is how I will send all my Beatles items outside the UK. This may make my postage charges a little higher than some other sellers but it provides peace of mind to myself and the buyer.
