Description
the benjamin delaney lion - satori, uk 1969, private pressing, only 70 were made.
note ! its a psych folk band not a solo artist!!! eg like barclay james harvest.
this is pure psychedelic folk influenced by the incredible string band and donovans most trippy period eg gift from a flower to a garden era, it has covers of both those artists plus top level chilled out dope addled psych tracks like the blissful 'samantha carol : fragments"
i dont think its been openly sold before, none ever on discogs.
discogs mentions a booklet , but that was made for live performance art show by the band and other poets, not issued with the lp.
only 70 were pressed so its rarer than complex ithaca, grannie, isolation, shide and acorn etc.
THIS COPY HAS EXTREME DAMAGE ON THE 1ST TRACK, SEE PHOTO, A CHIP IS BROKEN FROM THE VINYL, AND A SMALL CRACK TRAILS OFF, THIS AFFECTS TRACK ONE BOTH SIDES ONLY. THOSE 2 TRACKS CANNOT BE FULLY PLAYED.
THUS UNGRADED.
THE REST OF THE LP IS EX (though its a slightly crude private pressing)and the cover is beautiful, theres a crease at one corner.
genuinely brilliant masterpiece of ethereal psychedelic folk, and its the only psych folk lp that was privately issued in the sixties in england, parameter, oliver & shide and acorn were all 70s anachronisms.
VALUE IN VG++ WITHOUT DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT £3000+.
I BELEIVE ONLY 3 KNOWN TO EXIST AT PRESENT.
HENCE I HOPE THE PRICE IS FAIR. TRADE CONSIDERED.
postage will be a bit slower than usual due to restrictions in place right now.
you can try the "make an offer" option.
