Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room. This week’s auctions feature my progressive and psychedelic records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare 1st Dutch only pressing of Shakin’ Stevens and the Sunsets – The Best of Shakin’ Stevens and the Sunsets on the GREEN CBS label with cat. no. S 52901, dating from 1972. This is the same album as “I’m No J.D.”, released in the U.K.
The record is in VG++ condition, there are a couple non-sounding hairlines and there is a superficial scuff on side 1 only. The labels are in EX condition, there are a few spindle marks only.
The cover is in VG+ condition, there is some very light wear along the seams and in the corners, there are two tiny bald spots in the bottom left corner on the back and there are a couple bald spots on the spine. Besides mentioned imperfections, this cover looks very presentable to me.
This is an extremely rare Dutch only pressing of the second album by the Shakin’ Stevens and the Sunsets. This album was released in the U.K. as “I’m No J.D.” and this Dutch only pressing has a completely different cover. In all my years of collecting records, I have only seen this album three times, so this is a very rare opportunity to obtain an extremely rare Shakin’ Stevens Album, a must have for all fans! Happy Biding!
