THIS RARE 78RPM COLLECTABLE BY J.P. Richardson (THE BIG BOPPER) WAS RE-RELEASED IN THE EARLY 1970'S BY GLAD MUSIC (BMI) ON THE MERCURY LABEL # C-30072. IT WAS NEVER RELEASED ON 78 IN THE U.S. AND THE ORIGINAL FROM 1958 WAS ON 45RPM ONLY. THIS ONE IS A NEW OLD STOCK 78 WITH GLOSS AND LUSTER AND QUALITY SOUND. I SELDOM USE MINT TO GRADE A RECORD, BUT THIS ONE IS AN EXCEPTION. IT IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED ON EQUIPENT WITH A LITE WEIGHT TONE ARM AND NOT THE OLD HEAVY NEEDLES. (Side1 is labelled as Side2 & Side2 as Side1). These Collectable 78's are getting very hard to find anymore, and the good ones are quickly becoming scarce. This 78 is from the large collection of Rock & Roll and R&B 78's that I have in my personal collection, and it would pay to mark this site as one of your favorites as there will be plenty more to come.
