Description
THE BLACK CROWES on Vinyl: THE SOUTHERN HARMONY AND MUSICAL COMPANION from 1992.
The disc played well on my Record Player without "sticking" or "jumping", but there are several "ticks" at the start of Black Moon Creeping, and a few crackles at the end of My Morning Story, which for me, downgrades it a little bit, to Very Good. The Outer Sleeve has a couple of small "bends", with barely noticeable "creases", but the Inner Sleeve is intact, with a few little spots if looked at closely (please see Images for all this). So can call Outer as VG+, and inner as EX.
Think I bought this when it first came out (can't really remember), but it has the original Catalogue Number which hit the UK Album Chart (have Guinness Hit Singles & Albums Book as reference), reaching Number 2. Would believe it to be a First Pressing. Now, have taken a pic from the Book, and it shows the Cat No ending in 2, but a quick Internet search shows that is a CD, and the Matrix Number on the disc doesn't help either, being basically just the Cat No. Bit confusing for me, but some folks out there may have a better idea of this.
The L.P. also has three Singles: Remedy (Number 24), Sting Me (42) and Hotel Illness (47), with the last two bordering "hit" category, but still in the book!
I "cleaned" it with a record cloth before playing, as always.
Having recently put all my Records in order, I've started to play through them for the first time in probably over 30 years - very enjoyable so far - but with space having to be freed up now (this has been in 4 different houses with me), this is the 46th of 366 Artist L.P.'s which I bought (am keeping 25 of them so far), with a further 40 Comedy or Compilation L.P.'s.
Please feel free to ask anything.
Many thanks, Scott.
