Description
Delightful blues compilation album from 1960. Made in England, mono. There is a UK 1960 press and a 1963 press, online info is incomplete, I have another copy of this album and the only difference is a slightly different label with two sharper rings close to the label center, so this listed one may be 1960 or 1963? Especially recommended for early blues from Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Sonny Boy Williamson and Howlin Wolf. Runouts are: I LP 12030-A IM & ILP 12030-B IM
Vinyl Grade: +VG, lovely gloss, lots of light scratches, nothing bad/deep that you would expect to hear as a click/tick.
Sound Quality: +VG, sounds fine, has some light background surface noise that does not detract from the great blues music, no pops/clicks/ticks, fully play tested.
Cover: +VG, fine flip back cover, flat, gloss front, no edge wear, has damage on back at top and bottom right.
Records graded directly under very bright table light for the visual grade. Sound quality checked by playing to ensure that visual grade and sound quality are consistent.
Mint M and Near Mint NM: Looks perfect as new. N and NM is only appropriate for new reissue records and not for vintage vinyl that has been played, regardless of how perfect it may look.
Excellent Plus +EX: Lovely gloss, no visible scratches, scuffs or marks. Has been played but has been handled well and still in great condition. (highest grade that I use for vintage vinyl)
Excellent EX: Lovely gloss, shows some slight signs of wear, including light trace/hairlines from the inner sleeve, light scuffs or very light marks that you would not expect to hear as surface noise.
Very Good Plus +VG: Shows a few more very light marks than is allowable for EX so not quite EX. These signs of use would be expected to cause some light surface noise but not to detract from the music.
Very Good VG: Shows light scratches and marks and some that you would expect to cause surface noise, especially in soft passages, between tracks and during a song?s intro and ending but not so much as to overpower the music which can still be enjoyed.
Very Good Minus -VG: Shows significant wear and marks that you would expect to cause noticeable surface noise that detracts from the music.
Good G: In the record world, 'Good' is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about beat-up records lacking much of the original gloss and with many scratches and marks that you would expect to cause very noticeable surface noise and clicks/pops that seriously detract from enjoyment of the music.
Postage: I package very very well and only charge the actual Aust Post cost. International post currently not available because of the delays with sending parcels overseas.
