Description
THE BYRDS
Title : The Notorious Byrd Brothers Label : CBS
Catalogue No : 63169 A1/B1 Issue : UK Mono Original
This is the Mono UK 1st press of 'The Notorious Byrd Brothers' by The Byrds. It is complete with the earliest A1/B1 matrix, the earliest textured orange CBS label, the original CBS advertising inner sleeve and the laminated Ernest J Day sleeve.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a stunning bright shine, there are just a few very light long marks on both sides. On playing the sound is warm, the backing is rich and the voices are vibrant, there is light noise but it is largely insignificant, it stills sounds extremely clear. The orange CBS label has bold orange and sharp black text. There is only slight spindle wear. The record is complete with the original advertising inner sleeve.
The cover is in Excellent+ condition. The laminate has a superb gloss and is completely flat with only a couple of small laminate creases. The unlaminated back cover has exceptionally bold black and is completely clean. The spine is firm with sharp text and the whole sleeve still feels extremely solid.
