Description

This is the Carpenters first LP release called Offering on A & M SP 4205 from 1969.  It is a very rare copy with the withdrawn cover.  There is wear from the record on the left side from the 6 o'clock position to about 10 o'clock.  There is also wear at the top center and in the very center of the cover, and at the very edge on the right side by the opening.  It is also showing some slight wear at the bottom spine.  It is not as bad as it sounds.  I'm just trying to describe it thoroughly. You should be able to see the wear in the photo.  The back cover also shows some light wear.  I'll call it VG+.  This is very hard to find in better condition than this without paying considerably more.   Side One of the record has light noise in the background but has nice sound.  The noise is most noticeable in the first song, which is a very quiet song.  There is an occasional click or pop also.  I'll call it VG+.  Side Two sounds better and has excellent sound and tone for the first four songs.  I'd grade that part a nice VG++.  The next three songs are not quite as good and have a couple of light pops but never goes below VG+.
