Description
This week I’m listing about 3 dozen collectible 45 RPM records. Many of these are white or yellow label promo disc jockey records. Most of the records, but not all, are Northern Soul, Soul, or Rhythm and Blues recordings. There are a few notable psych records and Brit Invasion releases. All have been play graded, so I am noting both the visual grade by Goldmine standard and the play grade. Some of the near mint records are noisy, and some of the VG, VG+ and VG++ records played with no background noise, but this is typical of 45s, which are often poorly pressed. My experience is that 1960’s releases in both 45s and LPs often sound good even with some minor scratches, because the manufacturing process was better then. I am describing the records very critically to be sure the winners are happy. I use an old digital camera and floodlights, which will make the labels look washed out sometimes and will magnify the dust and scratches. The gloss is diminished in these photos of the gooves. The camera sometimes gets the blue and reddish tints wrong. I will note the condition of the labels. Please check out the other 45s in my other auctions.
This record is in near mint condition, and it plays great. I didn't notice any background noise. Labels are in excellent condition Thanks for looking.
Shipping will be by Media Mail in the USA and by First Class Mail International for outside the USA. Any record selling for over $25 must be insured, but for European winners, I will insist on Registered Mail. A 45 mailed to Europe by First Class should cost just under $7, and the registry fee, if needed, would be just under $12. The Registry fee will be listed as a ‘Handling Charge’ for the invoice. I will combine won 45s to save you money on postage, so if you opt for a ‘Buy It Now’ offering, please let me know if you intend to bid on other auctions, so I can hold the first 45 to do this for you.
