1969. Hard to find stereo pressing by San Francisco Sixties psych band The Charlatans.

Condition: Light ring wear on the record jacket. Corners have wear but are still sharp. Spine, top and bottom are solid. Three small drill holes in the bottom (promo?). Vinyl is clean and plays great.

Review: The Charlatans were pioneers, plain and simple. The helped pioneer Acid-Rock, they pioneered the rock and roll meets the old west clothing fad and member George Hunter helped develop the first psychedelic rock posters. Guitarist Mike Wilhelm was one of Jerry Garcia's favorite of axe-men and I venture to say that this album, put out by a later line-up of the group, is still better than any of the Dead's own studio releases excepting perhaps the Dead's debut album. Highlights are too many to name, a beautiful country-rock dream "HIGH COIN", a rockin' groover "EASY WHEN I'M DEAD" and perhaps the greatest version ever of "WABASH CANNONBALL". Seek it out and get it!
