Description
You are bidding on a rare, original, vintage, red vinyl, jazz LP record album, from 1962, by Charles Mingus, entitled, "Chazz", on the Fantasy record label, Debut Series #6002. This is the original pressing with red vinyl and deep grooves on the labels. The red-maroon labels with gold print are in excellent condition. One label side is close to perfect, the other has a scratch from the spindle hole to the deep groove as the only drawback. The red vinyl is in beautiful condition. I could find virtually nothing wrong with one side and with the other I could only find two of tiny, very light to light scuffs mentioned only for the record collecting perfections. The mirror-like gloss of the red vinyl is tremendous. The jacket is in excellent condition with a glossy front with bright and vibrant colors, with only the faintest of surface wear. The exceptions are small pen writing on the forehead of the photo of Charles Mingus and on his left forearm (see close up photo). There is also light spots of wear on the four corners. There are two 5-inch thin-line scuffs/scratches on the front cover that do little to distract from the excellence. There is a small blemish and spot of wear on the right edge where the record slides out toward the top. The back side cover is very nice with only the faintest of soiling along the edges. There is an original store sticker at the at the top right corner of the jacket back side cover and the number "30" written in ink. Please see the detailed photos. This is a 3-day, no reserve sale.
