Description
isnw_eHere we have a VERY RARE METAL ACETATE WITH AN UNRELEASED SOUL TRACK 45 rpm speed by THE CHARMAINES, recorded on the KING RECORDING STUDIOS Record label. TRACKS ARE: "I Can't Go On This Way", and "I Saw A Star Fall Last Night". Both sides of the acetate have alot of marks and grades VG- but plays VG. Labels have moderate wear and marks. Record plays with mild background noise. The Charmaines were led by Gigi Jackson, and sang backup for artists at King Records and performed throughout the area. They appeared on Lonnie Mack's Wham of That Memphis Man.' and recorded their own local hit, "What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am?" for Fraternity. During the 1960s they also recorded for Columbia and others. I believe they never recorded on the KING record label, but recorded on Fraternity and Saxony, both Cincinnati labels. They also recorded on Serock, Date, 20th Fox, Dot, Minit. The track: "I Saw A Star Fall Last Night" was never recorded on any label, according to my research. The other track on this acetate (I Can't Go On This Way), was the B side on a 1966 Fraternity records release.
BECAUSE OF THE OBSCURITY, I'M RECORDING A SOUND CLIP FOR EACH TRACK.
IF THE VALUE EXCEEDS $75.00, WILL ONLY SHIP 1ST CLASS MAIL INTERNATIONAL REGISTERED FOR $24.75 THAT INCLUDES FULL FINAL AUCTION VALUE AND A TRACKING NUMBER. PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME TO SEND AS A GIFT OR A LOWER AUCTION VALUE, THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING.
