Description

The Children: "Rebirth" 1968, USA/Cinema CLP#1. Disc has one small needlemark in the middle of side two, this makes two clicks in a spot where the music dies down, looks/plays M- otherwise, so it gets an EX grade. Gatefold cover has very light wear, this is strong VG+. Ultra-rare first private issue with thick, primitive gatefold jacket, this is much, much harder to find than the Atco label reissue! A couple of tracks on this LP rank with the best stuff ever to emerge from the Texas 60s rock scene, namely "Pictorial", and "Don't Ever Lose It". Cover painting looks like it came from the same high school art class that did most of the International Artists LPs. Incredibly amateurish candid snapshots inside the gatefold are a crack-up. Lelan Rogers produced this LP, presumably right after "Easter Everywhere".
