Description
So yes, an original (or early) pressing of The Chirping Crickets album. This was part of an album collection buy last year. Normally we don't sell albums in this condition, but of course it's quite rare, so we'll let the market make the price.
The record on both sides has a lot of scratches. Side 1 has nothing deep. Plays with persistent background but doesn't overpower the music. G+ to VG- overall. Side 2 has 3 feelable scratches. These cause a light tick for some parts of the side. Ironically this is the better side overall, as there are sections that are as nice as a VG+. But again, we'll stay with G+ to VG-. The album played all the way through on our system with no skips.
The cover is what you see. The good news is the top and bottom seams are a clean break. The spine is still in sturdy shape! (see photo #3) In effect, this can be repaired with the proper tools. There some paper tears on the back, but the front isn't bad at all, and displays well.
The labels are also in nice shape as you can see. Comes with a generic inner sleeve.
Clearly if you're looking for a top copy of this album, this isn't it. But if you'd like to own a real original - that plays through with background noise - but don't want to pay top prices, then here's your chance.
