Description
THE CHORDETTES rare 1958 GERMAN EP HELIDOR Hi-Fi 46303
On offer is a VG/VG- THE CHORDETTES 45rpm EP entitled as released in GERMANY on HELIDOR Hi-Fi 46303 in 1958. This is a very rare - German 1958 - Chordettes EP, with a nice front cover of the group in 50's style!
Tracks are: Side 1 – Zorro / Born to be with you. Side 2 – Lollipop/ Baby of mine.
The picture sleeve cover has some sellotape on the bottom edge – see scan – and the back cover has some browning with age… and overall is in VG- condition. The sleeve was not laminated when manufactured and as a result it does show its' age. I have kept it in a plastic protective sleeve ever since I bought it at a Record fair about 30 years ago.
The vinyl is in VG- condition: with several scuffs and marks - none of which adversely affect play.
The record labels are nice and clean, with no writing on them.
The record played very well when I test played it on my BOSE record player.
It’s a rare EP that is not often made available for purchase these days. This copy is suitable as a collection filler until that elusive better copy comes along. But it is the only copy I have ever seen over all the years I have been collecting... and it was nice to have as part of my 1950s collection!

I use the RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM: as follows
MINT (M) THE RECORD ITSELF IS IN BRAND NEW CONDITION WITH NO SURFACE MARKS OR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND ANY EXTRA ITEMS SUCH AS THE LYRIC SHEET, BOOKLET OR POSTER ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION. RECORDS ADVERTISED AS SEALED OR UNPLAYED SHOULD BE MINT.
EXCELLENT (EX) THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND/OR CREASING.
VERY GOOD (VG) THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS, IS ACCEPTABLE.
GOOD (G) THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLY DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES. THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFING OF EDGES, SPINE SPLITS, DISCOLOURATION, ETC.
THE USE OF PLUS (+) OR MINUS (-) ALLOWS FOR ITEMS THAT FALL BETWEEN THE ABOVE GRADES.
