THE CLASH: Capitol Radio/Listen & Interview (UK Promo 45 From 1st LP)
All punk collectors will know exactly what this is. This is the mega rare 'free' Clash 45 that came with early copies of their first album in 1977 if you sent off the red sticker inside. It features a non album track of Capital Radio - actually spelled Capitol and later re-recorded (not as well) by the band - with the instrumental track Listen along with a very early interview (on the London Underground!) with NME's Tony Parsons.
A genuine piece of punk history as it burst on the scene in '77 - all serious punk rock scholars will know it.
This historic record rarely comes up for sale and certainly not in this sort of condition. It is almost immaculate. And super rare these days.
The vinyl is glossy and lush, free from any scratches, scuffs or even hairlines. The sleeve - always a problem on copies that surface - is still crisp, clear and bold - very little wear whatsoever. The single's labels are as bright and smart no writing stickers or age spots.
This is pretty much how you would have received it had you sent away the sticker in 1977. There cannot be many is such brilliant condition out there.
