THE CLASH - GIVE EM ENOUGH ROPE - RARE GREEK IMPORT VINYL ALBUM - DIFFERENT REAR SLEEVE.
Fantastic and stunning second album from one of the most creative and respected punk band's of all time.
The Clash exploded in true punk style, they crashed from late 70's punk rock into the 80's and beyond, never compromising and ever changing while retaining their devoted and loyal fan base.
This quality second album from the people's band features a great collection of songs and was a massive step up from their debut which suffered from poor production.
Give Em Enough Rope was pure Clash firing on all cylinders, the sound and songwriting is on point, this was very powerful stuff back in the day and still stands up as a solid rock record, it's all here and then some, there was Punk, there was Music but above all that there was simply "THE CLASH"...!
The sleeve is an interesting one on this Greek issue, unlike its UK counterpart, the Clash lettering on the front changes from the usual oriental style lettering to a bold lettering type, the rear sleeve is in black and white apart from the flags, also "Julie's Been Working For The Drug Squad" is miss credited as "Julie's In The Drug Squad" on both the sleeve and label, plus "All The Young Punks" is miss credited on the sleeve and is listed as "That's No Way To Spend Your Youth" but is correct on the label, the track listing is also jumbled up on the Greek issue.
Sleeve is in good condition overall but previous owner has stuck a couple of Clash stickers on the rear, maybe to give it some colour.?
The record has some light surface marks and hairlines but nothing too major so this is a nice addition to any decent Clash collection.........acquired from a closed independent record shop who kindly sold me their small amount of left over punk related stock.
A rare "Import vinyl" must have Clash album for any serious Clash / Punk rock record collector.
Sold with no reserve, this rarely comes up for sale, don't miss out on this absolute Clash gem.
