THE CLASH - " LONDON CALLING ", CBS Records Ltd. (CLASH 3) Stereo, 1979.
Very rare, UK issue of the seminal Clash 2LP.
With original black on white CBS labels, plus Track 5 on side 4 (Train in Vain) is not listed on the record label, inners or cover. Instead it is etched into the dead wac near the matrix number - see photos for all details.
MATRIX NUMBERS:
Side 1 = CBS S CLASH-3 A3 CL-1-2 A3
Side 2 = CL 1-2 B3
Side 3 = CL-3-4-A-2 CBS S CLASH 3-C-2
Side 4 = CL-3-4-B3 CBS-S-CLASH-D3 (+ TRACK 5 IS "TRAIN IN VAIN")
Includes original inners - see photo.
English issue and pressing.
Professionally cleaned on my Moth cleaning machine (both clean records have been put in new poly-lined inner sleeves, with the originals included).
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT (No scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, only light spindle trails, etc. Even under a bright grading lamp, this LP looks free from all but the very faintest surface scuffs and suffers no other light visible imperfections.
Plays really well - strong, clean and without interuptions form clicks' clunks or excessive surface noise. Unlike nearly every other copy of this LP ever sold, it's hardly been played IMO.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = EXCELLENT- (No rips, tears, creases, defacing, etc. I had to mark it down a bit for some light general shelf wear mainly just to the corners - all from time in storage rather than use and abuse - see photos for further clarification)
NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records.
