Description
Available here is a double 12" vinyl LP set by The Clash - London Calling. A UK pressing, it was issued by CBS in 1979 and has the catalogue number CBS CLASH 3/ S CBS CLASH 3. Would seem to be a 1st pressing variant, as per the Discogs website.
Identifiers - The record bears the following marks …
Matrix / Runout - Side A - Etched - CLASH-3-A4
Matrix / Runout - Side B - Etched - CBS-S-CLASH-B3 - CL-1-2-B3 - TY-CBS
Matrix / Runout - Side B - Etched - CL-3-A-2 CBS-S-CLASH 3-C-2 - timtom
Matrix / Runout - Side B - Etched - CL-3-4-B3 CBS-S-CLASH-3-D3 - TY-CBS - TRACK 5 IS "TRAIN IN VAIN"
Note: All first pressings seemingly came with a cover/sleeve/label error, whereby only four of the five tracks on the fourth side are listed. The final track Train In Vain is missing and appears as an addition etched in the dead wax of the record.
Vinyl Condition - Very Good+ - Both records are quite bright and clean with a few minor surface marks but no worrying scratches. The first side has a small white mark but it causes no ill-effect. Having listened throughout, I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking but the odd click may be heard. Background crackle/noise is present on occasions but if heard very low level and not intrusive.
Cover/Sleeve Condition - Very Good+ - Original outer cover and inner picture/lyric sleeves have minor signs of wear and rubbing but no serious damage. One of the inner sleeves has small abrasions and marks by its top edge.
The track listing is as follows …

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is not my intention to profit from postage. If possible I use good clean recyclable material but I also buy bubble wrap, brown paper, packing tape and glue and all items are well wrapped and protected before posting. Items are also weighed and postage calculated before I list at auction and a small percentage of the charge does go towards packing costs.
I will accept returns on any item which is not as described and refund all costs upon safe receipt.
See "Me" for further general despatch information.
