THE COLLAGE
Self Titled Debut
ORIGINAL 1968 LP STILL SEALED
Smash Records - SRS 67101
***************************************************
The Collage were a psychedelic pop group from California, in the late 1960's.
Here is another great lost psych pop records of the late 60`s.
The Collage consisted of 2 boys, (Jerry & Ron) & 2 girls, (Jodie & Donna) with a very cool sound. Not enough though, to set them apart from the pack, but very “groovy“ out of their context. The group often gets confused with the “other” Collage that released an album on Golden Crest Records in 1971.
The sound is as good as re-discovered groups like Free Design, or Millenium. In fact, Curt Boettcher wrote one of the songs (“Would You Like To Go”) on the LP, as well as one by Roger Nichols (“Can I Go”). The arrangements are by the great Perry Botkin Jr., and he gives the whole record a nice swirling, magical quality, and the rest of the album is just as impressive, and should please any lover of the genre.

Original 1968 pressing on Smash Records. Not a reissue. No barcode. This LP is STILL SEALED in it's original shrinkwrap. There are no cut corners or punch holes. The corners have some very minor bumps/wear. The shrink is tight, with a little separation/tears at the corners. The cover has no wear. The colors are vibrant on the great psychedelic cover. A really beautiful SEALED copy of this collectible record. LP is in nearly MINT condition.
