THE CRICKETS (BUDDY HOLLY)-, 1ST EP/NO JACKET/ORIG BRUNSWICK LABEL

TITLE/ARTIST: This super rare, four (4) song EP (record only, no jacket) is by The Crickets (which of course, features Buddy Holly in his very beginning years). It was his/their very 1st EP release on the Brunswick Label - from 1957. The ultra rare and highly collectible EP is entitled simply, "The Crickets" and is on the original, 1st pressing, Brunswick Label - before it changed over to Coral Records. Although there is no picture sleeve with this package, I was able to find an old Brunswick company sleeve to include here (see pics above)  Songs on the EP are, "That'll Be The Day", "I'm Looking For Someone To Love", "Oh, Boy!", and "Not Fade Away" - all classics! In my opinion, this EP is in very good overall condition (except for 1 or 2 minor flaws - so, please read on) - and is certainly one I once thought would never leave my collection. But.......here it is, so have at it. I will be listing other old, rare, and hard to find 45's, EP's, and LP's in my future auctions, so please check my site out from time to time - as there are hundreds more to get to yet. LABEL INFO: The original Brunswick Label (EB 71036) is super clean and nice with nothing really negative to mention at all (see the pics above). There aren't even any spindle lines around the center circle which, to me, indicates very little play. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is primarily very good, too - shiny, clean and nice with nothing seriously flawed. However, there are a couple surface/paper lines on either side which do have a small effect on the EP's appearance (and I do mean small effect), but they have no effect on the record's play and/or sound - Other than this though, the vinyl looks clean and nice! JACKET INFO: There is no jacket for this record, but the accompanying Brunswick company sleeve I am including is in nice shape. So, please view the pictures above and make your own decisions about everything. INTERESTING FACTS: This EP is ridiculously rare and would be a nice addition to anyone's Buddy Holly collection as either a new find, an upgrade to one you have , or a filler for the jacket you might already own.......so please have at it.
