THE CRICKETS-In Style With The Crickets-RARE 1ST LP/ORIG MAROON, CORAL LB/NICE

TITLE/ARTIST: This hard to find, very 1st post-Buddy Holly released LP by the legendary 1950's-'60's R'n'R group (who were once Buddy Holly's famous backup singers), The Crickets, is from back in 1960, three (3) years after their leader's tragic plane crash death. The LP has 12 great songs by this legendary group, on the original, maroon colored, Coral Label and all on great condition vinyl. Actually, the whole package is in very good overall condition - but, especially the vinyl - and it even comes with a Coral Record's inner sleeve which advertises other Coral Label LPs/Artists from that time (please see the pics above). LABEL INFO: This original, maroon with silver print, Coral Label (CRL 57320) is super clean and nice - I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me very little actual play - if any at all. VINYL INFO: The vinyl is also primarily shiny, clean and nice with nothing in serious need of a mention - although there are a couple small surface/paper lines in just 1-2 places, which have no effect on the LP's play and do very little to effect the vinyl's appearance either. Otherwise, it appears to be about as nice as the day it was first purchased. JACKET INFO: Finally, this special "textured" cover is largely quite clean and nice, but does have a visible couple flaws in need of a mention here. There are some signs of early "aging" (as one might expect), a couple small crease lines in two of the corners, and some small scuff marks in the actual corners and along parts of the seams. Finally, a previous owner has very tastefully scotch taped the entire top seam - probably to repair a seam split there. This easily removable tape has discolored slightly and is partially visible in the "song titles" photo above. But again, other than these issues I see no serious problems at all with this specially made, textured jacket. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, in my opinion, this collectible LP is primarily very nice, especially given how difficult it is to find anymore, so please have at it. As always, I have begun the auction at a low opening bid and have not listed it with any reserve price - just free and open bidding - so good luck!.
