1963 U.S. mono press of LP on Philles blue label
THE CRYSTALS titled "The Crystals Sing The Greatest Hits, Vol 1"
LABEL NOTE: not 100% sure if this is true original or not ~early blue label ~ but, does not seem to
have the deep groove that the 1962 press releases have, so, may be 2nd press ~ or perhaps just the
difference of a 1 year later release makes a difference of weight & groove depth ~ i don't really know ~
i have owned all 3 titles for for well over 25 years
CONDITION:
cover: VG++ to Excellent
lite shelf wear/soiling ~ lite wear/ fray to edges & corners ~ beginning of very lite ring ~ shows mostly
just on lower front ~ see scan ~ back has store sticker upper right ( House of Values ~ $2.79)
vinyl: VG+(+)
clean & glossy with just a couple of tiny faint marks/smudges ~
a few lite scratches/hairlines & lite needlemarks ~ all superficial
plays excellent, but, with several odd occasional individual lite clicks &
just a bit of occasional lite low level surface noise / soft surface crackle in several spots ~
noticeable mostly just between tracks, but, in several quieter moments,too
