Description
THE DEEP FREEZE MICE - The Gates Of Lunch LP
(MOLE EMBALMING RECORDS, MOLE3, UK 1982)
This is the first release on Mole Embalming, not the later one on Cordelia...
Superb album by this avant-garde act; music is a mix of post-punk and diy wave, enriched with pop tunes and always accompanied by surrealistic lyrics.
Sounds fresh and innovative, even after 25 years from its release...
Quote from the back-sleeve:
"All of the music on this LP was picked up in the form of tachyon particles by a giant kinetic sculpture called 'Entropy Of Cubes' which Erica Stock keeps in her bedroom. We believe that it is being beamed directly to earth from the hub of the galaxy somewhere beyond Sagittarius".
Complete with original comic insert!
