THE DISTANTS Come On 1959 pre-TEMPTATIONS DOO WOP 45 Shipping Info | TERMS & CONDITIONS | SALES THEME Description THE DISTANTS "COME ON/ALWAYS" Northern Records 3732. Vinyl: VG+ [PLAY GRADED sounds EXCELLENT!], Labels: NEAR MINT! This is a FIRST PRESSING 1959 7-INCH 45 RPM RECORD! This is an EXTREMELY SCARCE DETROIT DOO WOP 45 by a group whose members included OTIS WILLIAMS, ELBRIDGE [AL] BRYANT and MELVIN FRANKLIN! Two years later, in 1961, these three members would join up with some members of the recently dissolved group THE PRIMES and become THE TEMPTATIONS with a recording contract with BERRY GORDY and his new label MOTOWN RECORDS! THIS 45 WAS PRESSED IN VERY SMALL NUMBERS and only distributed in the DETROIT area. It's a CLASSIC DOO WOP coupling of a jump side and a ballad side! This is truly MOTOWN RECORDS HISTORY! One of the UK's top Soul Music record dealers is currently offering this record [in the same condition!] at $330! I've lowered the minimum bid to encourage you SERIOUS MOTOWN COLLECTORS to have a chance to grab this RARE RECORD while you can. These rarely come on the collectors market! This record is in TRUE VG+/NEAR MINT condition! This record PLAYS EXCELLENT and is SURE TO PLEASE! An ABSOLUTE MUST for TRUE FANS of MOTOWN RECORDS, DOO WOP VOCAL GROUPS and SOUL MUSIC! This is part of a sale of Rare R&B and Soul 45 RPM records from the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's and 1980's! Includes Doo Wop, 50's 60's and 70's hit records, Soul, Funk and all styles!
