This week I am doing an AMAZING extra set of WEDNESDAY auctions - all ending late Wednesday 2nd October! All from the same AWESOME collection I have recently been listing. Most are Mint / Played once (please see description below) - and of the VERY highest standards & rarity!
PLEASE NOTE - this week my auction listings, will look slightly different! This is because I have absolutely LOADS of items to list, and this is the quickest way to list them - whilst still retaining ALL the very important detail on condition, rarity etc (see all details below!). RARITY:- Super rare! Barely ANY copies sold on release, and this LP is now almost IMPOSSIBLE to locate! This LP dates from 1971 (around the time of 'L.A.Woman') and was issued ONLY A FEW MONTHS AFTER RELEASE (now 48 years old!). Super heavy vinyl and the EARLIEST Caterpillar Elektra labels ever made! These VERY early re-pressings are often WRONGLY overlooked, as they are just as rare as the 1st Pressings - and in this case, made in the SAME YEAR as the original release! The re-issues on the red label from 1976 are VERY common indeed, and often seen. But finding a TOP CONDITIONED 1971 Elektra Caterpillar re-pressing from the SAME YEAR OF RELEASE in TOP CONDITION is now very VERY rare indeed!

RECORD GRADING:- The records are in absolutely AWESOME condition and are VERY bright & shiny looking indeed! They have NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, only 2 or 3 absolutely ULTRA light TINY surface traces, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT! THE RECORDS STILL RETAIN THEIR ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOK SUPERB! The records play with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, NO distortion, NO hiss, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL! The ONLY detail to note - is that on 1 side only, there are 2 or 3 pressing marks, which are 100% from manufacture (it looks like a hair was on the pressing machine). These cause the odd click. As this is from the FACTORY - the records should still grade MINT(Minus) - but I'll grade them EX/NM instead! STILL AN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME SET OF RECORDS!
SLEEVE:- The ORIGINAL 'MacNeill' Gatefold Cover is in SUPERB condition! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear (side words PERFECT!), NO splits, only VERY slight corner wear (with some tipping in), NO rips, NO tears, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, NO sticker marks, NO sticker tears, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO annotations, and NO writing! The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering! Even the inside of the cover is in SUPERB condition with NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, and NO writing! The cover must grade Excellent+ if not better! SUPERB COVER!
