The latest addition to the band's acclaimed series of archival concert releases, Live In New York features The Doors at the Felt Forum in New York City in 1970. Recorded just a few weeks before the release of Morrison Hotel, this first show from the concerts finds Jim Morrison, John Densmore, Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek locked in tight as they deliver smoking takes on soon-to-be-classics from their forthcoming album including "Roadhouse Blues", "Peace Frog", "Ship of Fools" and "Maggie McGill".

In 1969, the year prior to these shows, The Doors became one of the first rock bands to play New York City's Madison Square Garden. When they returned in 1970, Densmore says they chose to play the Felt Forum, a smaller venue at the Garden stating "It was more intimate, and you could feel the audience more".

Sadly, these shows represent The Doors' final New York City performances with Morrison, who passed away July 3, 1971.

**RECORD GRADING**: SEALED:Record is still sealed, never opened. MINT: Should appear to be perfect in every way. It should appear to have just left the manufacturer without any handling. no scuffs, scratches, stains. NEAR MINT: Appears mint, but has one 1 or 2 inconsequential flaws that do not affect the play of the record. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. An LP jacket should only have minor signs of wear-slight ring wear, minor denting to a corner, and no writing on the cover and have no creases, folds, seam splits, or any other noticeable similar defect. VERY GOOD PLUS: Record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect sound are OK. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The cover can have some wear from storage, but it should not affect the beauty of the artwork. VERY GOOD: Many of the defects found in a Vg+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. A VG record looks like it will have some audible surface noises when played, but it will not overwhelm the music or the overall listening experience. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, ring wear, seam splits, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them. GOOD:obvious scuffing and marking, but will play through with significant surface noise, pops, crackles, etc. Cover has heavier writing, worn label, obvious splits on sight. POOR:basically unplayable, but may still have some collectible or nostalgic value, cover is heavily damaged.
