Another UK 1st Press in Excellent condition from my personal collection
The Sleeves
The Doors fully laminated sleeve is free of writing, does have slight handling creases on the front and the back as can be seen in the photos, however not major at all and still a very fine cover for this rare album. The sleeve is still in very clean condition both front and back. The bottom has the faintest of storage wear, the corners are very square still. No split seems or glue release anywhere on this cover. Excellent opening edges without feathering of the card. The back of the cover is very clean no names in any of the corners. Inner sleeve is free of tears, and stains no writing only slightest yellowing from age, very hard to find in this excellent condition.
The vinyl
The hand scribed Matrix numbers are side one EKL 4007 A1 and side two EKL 4007 B. The Doors debut album was released in 1967 on the Orange Electra label as a mono recording, it didn’t sell in the UK in great numbers at the time of release, so to find one in this condition now is becoming very difficult as most were taken to parties at the time, and as a result of being play frequently over time are they are now showing all the effects of mishandling and have poor sound quality. The labels on this vinyl are in great shape just one very faint spindle mark, and no writing on these labels. The vinyl is generally in excellent condition no hairlines and no skips or jumps anywhere during play, a beautiful glossy vinyl which is free of audio any affecting marks and plays very clear and very enjoyable. In my opinion a great record and its condition is excellent for such a rare record.

The record has been both visual inspected and played completely before grading using the Rare Record Collectors Grading System.
