Description
THE DOORS MORRISON HOTEL Vinyl 1971 EKS-75007 Elektra NM/NM Gatefold BEAUTIFUL!!
ELEKTRA Butterfly Labels. A really fine copy of this classic Doors album! Full NM/NM PLUS++. The gatefold jacket is about perfect, vinyl nice glossy NM+. 51 years old and beautiful condition. This jacket is one of those that is totally suitable for framing as artwork. I used-to have a Morrison Hotel Doors poster hanging-up for many years. Either the front cover would be great framed, or the inner gatefold opened-up and framed that way. The vinyl album of course totally rocks. Roadhouse Blues, Waiting For the Sun, Peace Frog, Ship Of Fools, Maggie M’Gill, The Spy, Land Ho!, etc. Classic Doors / Morrison here. I always loved the whole “Morrison Hotel” concept / theme. Totally cool. Side One is “Hard Rock Cafe, Side Two is “Morrison Hotel.” One of my favorite tales (relayed to me by an older friend) is when Jim Morrison and The Doors played on The Ed Sullivan Show. Well, Jim sang Light My Fire, and included the lyrics, “Girl we couldn’t get much HIGHER.” Remember the times, guys. So after they played, Ed Sullivan said to Jim Morrison, “We really enjoyed having you but the language—we want to have you BACK SOME TIME ON THE ED SULLIVAN SHEWWW.” Morrison just defiantly said, “We already PLAYED the Ed Sullivan show.” Lol awesome
