MATRIX NUMBERS
SIDE ONE: EKS - 74014 A  ? 11050
SIDE TWO: EKS - 74014 B  ? 11050-X
Also etched in Dead Wax: "MON-1" side 1 / "MON-5" side 2. Both sides have stamped circled "MR" glyph
..
...showing that this LP was pressed at Elektra's best plant: MONARCH RECORDERS, whose matrix #s are rather difficult to decipher; I haven't learned all the specifics yet on this legendary plant's numbering systems, so have included, above, both the ("?") JOB NUMBERS and the Monarch identifiers -for those rare few who have the complete specifics on MONARCH. I include ALL DEAD WAX markings here, for their use. (Online is various info about Monarch's dead wax etchings and stampings -mostly on 'forums' where pressing geeks converse about various vintage recordings - and their markings.) Wade through it all if you want...
Search: Elektra Monarch pressing - search again, adding: "Doors". Have fun!
.
...DON'T just suppose that Side 2 is a 1st plating, 5th run, simply because of the "MON-5". It doesn't work that way. It would be nice if we, in 2012, could easily decipher exactly what all the numbers truly designate ...every company was different, Monarch being one of the hardest ones to follow -and all the pressing plants cared about was having their own traceable records of the pressings; they weren't at all concerned about what future collectors might need to determine pressing sequence.
.
THE DOORS second LP, released within months of their debut and containing songs from those same sessions, as well as their newest material at the time. For me, their best album after the debut, containing the hits People Are Strange and Love Me Two Times, the hypnotic, surreal My Eyes Have Seen You and their tour 'de force When The Music's Over.

SIDE ONE
1. STRANGE DAYS
2. YOU'RE LOST LITTLE GIRL
3. LOVE ME TWO TIMES
4. UNHAPPY GIRL
5. HORSE LATITUDES
6. MOONLIGHT DRIVE

SIDE TWO
1. PEOPLE ARE STRANGE
2. MY EYES HAVE SEEN YOU
3. I CAN'T SEE YOUR FACE IN MY MIND
4. WHEN THE MUSIC'S OVER

*Re: the Inner Sleeve:
Small piece of professional grade (cellulose base - NO plastics) archival, acid free document repair tape carefully, completely and tightly closing up tear from underneath -I was a professional custom framer and did paper/document restoration for over 2 decades; it is so cleanly done that you will have to look very hard to find it.

.
Disc inside separate Poly-lined inner sleeve to protect both the original inner & the vinyl.
Album kept in a protective, poly outer-sleeve.

My LP packing is considered to be among the very best on eBay!
I would have it no other way.

All records packed with vinyl (inside inner sleeve) behind cover - and shipped in strong LP mailer boxes with bubble-wrap around all sides - sandwiched between stiff corrugated flats for best protection in the mail.
.
Please be aware that these important supplies add to my shipping costs - of which only a small fraction is covered in the shipping charge.

SHIPPING RATES
...All packages are shipped insured (at no added cost to you)
.
USA
Media Mail: $4.00 •//• or Priority Mail: $9.99
Most of my customers prefer Media Mail because it is very cheap. Please keep in mind that it's cheap because it is slow; Media Mail packages can take a week to travel 30 miles - or around two weeks to travel cross-country. Sometimes it can arrive cross-country in 5 days - sometimes (very rarely) it takes a month. Due to Postal Service conditions, the actual arrival time cannot be known in advance.
Additional LPs in same shipment: $1.00 each
Combine buys to save on shipping!
.
ALL OTHER COUNTRIES
I charge EXACT POSTAGE only, Worldwide.
NOTE:
All packages above 4 Lbs (5-6 or more LPs) can NOT ship by the low 1ST CLASS International rate.
These must go by higher (but faster) PRIORITY or EXPRESS INTERNATIONAL RATES.
I will ALWAYS offer you choices
-the LOWEST rate that US Postal system allows - plus the FASTER, but higher rate.
.
*PLEASE do not ask me to mark the item as a 'GIFT' for customs. Unfortunately, I cannot.
The postal clerks know better; I ship LPs constantly (over 30 years) and cannot fool them.

I ship as soon as I receive cleared payment and treat ALL
my customers and their records with the greatest respect.
.
I pack LPs to survive even the worst conditions the postal systems can hand out.
You will LOVE my LP packing!
