Description
Original U.S. stereo pressing released in 1967 on Elektra (EKS-74014). STILL SEALED. Has two small breathe holes in the shrink wrap on front along with a very old, original price code sticker over the shrink wrap (stating manufacturer's list price of $4.98). I've carefully compared this side-by-side with two original (opened) copies I have and find no evidence at all which would suggest this is anything other than an original brown label pressing. I obviously cannot be 100% sure that it is not the second pressing (red label with big "E"), but if it came down to it, I wouldn't hesistate to bet my entire record collection on it being the brown label orig. (I suppose that if anyone is knowledgeable enough to know the years Elektra actually had the suggested list price of $4.98 for albums, they might consider taking me up on this bet! ;)
There is a light crease going most of the way across the upper right corner on the back cover (does not go through to the front cover.) The cover is otherwise in pretty much perfect condition with fully-intact shrink wrap (for greater accuracy, the lower right corner is poking through the shrink for about 1 millimeter at the tip extreme and is balding within this area.)
The album will be very safely packaged in an oversized mailer box to ensure that it arrives in the same condition it is now in. Measures are taken when packing sealed records to prevent seam splits during transit.

***UPDATE***
I just noticed featured auction #190083039621 of a mono copy that has the shrink wrap with a price code sticker on it. I blew up the image and the sticker has a manufacturer's list price of $4.79, and this mono album was definitely produced in 1967. I'd say that we can conclude (with near certainty) that this sealed copy will indeed be a brown label orig, produced in '67-69.
