These records are in near mint condition. There are a few light spindle marks on each label but no pen marks anywhere. The centres show some wear and scuffing on record 2, but there is none of this on record 2. Overall the labels are in good shape with no really major issues, just the light spindle marks and minor scuffing to record 2.
As for the vinyl itself, all four sides are really clean, have a vivid shine and have little to nothing visible in normal light. There are a few extremely light wispy lines when viewed in very bright white light but nothing remotely sinister or serious. The records have no nasty scuffs, serious marks or sinister blemishes and are in great shape overall.
I play tested both the records and they played really well and sounded superb throughout all four sides. The lay flat with next to no movement in the record arm on both. The sound produced is crisp, dynamic and other than a minuscule trace in the run in and very occasionally between some tracks, has little to no interference or surface noise. There are no skips, jumps or severely disruptive clicks. I noted a faint series of around 5 or 6 clicks in track 1 on side 4 but these were very faint and only just audible. Other than this all four side played near perfectly and overall it was an audio experience of high quality and was a pleasure to play test a double lp packed with classics.
The gatefold sleeve is in excellent- condition. It has some wear/rubbing to the edges and corners, but the writing along the spine is all still legible. There are no splits, tears, scuffs or pen marks anywhere but there is a small hole or 'ding' at the very bottom of the spine. Other than this and the edge rubbing in places the sleeve is in great shape with no serious problems with creasing or ring marks. There is the odd minor indentation and small crease towards the edges but overall it is clean, bright and in good shape all round. I have tried my best to describe the sleeve as honestly as possible but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible as to its condition.
It contains both its original Elektra/WEA poly-lined inners which are in very good+ condition. One has a split to the left edge which has been taped but other than this they are both solid all round with no tears or major issues. They do have the catalogue number written in the top left corner of each however.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to try to ensure a swift delivery.
