Description
A chance to own a very rare original 1968 Elektra Records UK Mono edition of the Doors psychedelic classic lp Waiting For The Sun.Right away i'll say that the vinyl has some issues but plays great for 95% of the lp..There are a couple of passages on Side 1 on the last two tracks where there is some clicks lasting about 20 seconds in total (including the track run in) This occurs during the end of Wintertime love and a few seconds of The Unknown Soldier at the start. Also there are a few seconds midway during Unknown Soldier where it ticks.I play test all my lp's and it's nothing too bad in my opinion, certainly nothing to spoil the listeners enjoyment.Indeed it's very hard to find this very rare lp in any sort of condition..most are sadly trashed.Thats not the case here despite the issues it has..the record is slightly 'dished' but tracked fine.It has on side two, what looks like some sort of lighter coloured heat marks..see pics..but this side plays the best though! The marks have no effect on the music and i did listen all the way through headphones.Spanish Caravan is sublime in Mono my friends :) I was blown away by the deep rich punchy sound of this very rare MONO UK press..you'll find it hard to find a decent playing copy of this lp anywhere, believe me!Apart from the issues i've mentioned above it plays superbly. The sleeve is in pretty respectable condition, save for some small writing on the top rear right corner and a small piece of script on the Lizard King words is missing on the inside gatefold due to the sleeve being slightly stuck together at some point.I dont think the winning buyer will be disappointed, and at a fair decent start price,it's a chance to own a real Doors rarity! As always any questions are welcome.I will post anywhere outside the UK for £8.50..i always package carefully. Thanks for stopping by..happy bidding!Cheers from cityrocker.123 :)
