The album  cover is in NM condition. no wear or splits. the inner lyric/picture sleeves are in NM condition also

The vinyl itself is in EX/NM condition, there are  one or two very light papercuts visible when i checked it under 1500watt strong light, but i know from the last time that i played the LP that very few clicks/pops can be heard at the very quietest pieces of the music apart from that this is an excellent looking double album.

Hell Freezes Over the album name is in reference to a quote by Don Henley after the band's breakup in 1980; he commented that the band would play together again "when Hell freezes over." One of the most notable tracks is a new arrangement of "Hotel California" that features an extended acoustic guitar and percussion opening. At the beginning of the concert, Glenn Frey stated to the audience jokingly that "For the record, we never broke up, we just took a 14 year vacation" The new song "Get Over It" became a modest hit, and another new song, "Love Will Keep Us Alive", reached #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.

REVIEW
The album that accompanied The Eagles' much-hyped 1994 reunion highlights everything that made the group popular titans and critical targets through the '70s. Consisting of four new studio tracks and 11 live tracks from an MTV special, Hell Freezes Over is impeccably crafted -- and a little lifeless. The new tracks include "Get over It," a mean-spirited rocker that takes aim at the cult of victimhood, and three decent love songs. The live stuff includes most of the hits, from "Take It Easy" to "I Can't Tell You Why," showcasing both the inspired melodicism and the austere professionalism that marked the group's original work.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM

In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition

of second-hand records, cassettes and CDs. Anyone buying or selling records through the magazine must use our conditions to state what

amount of wear and tear the disc, its sleeve and/or contents have been subject to. The seven standard condition categories, and a description

of what each one means, are listed below:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks

or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such

as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records

advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there

is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging

might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but

displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable

surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on

the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has

noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild

scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of

edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for

properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface

noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly

missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
