THE ELGINS - Original 1966 UK TAMLA - NEAR MINT!! “Darling Baby”. RARE MONO!!
Very earliest First Pressing!!
Up for auction is this super rare TAMLA MOTOWN classic album of a great band; THE ELGINS.
This album only ever surfaces rarely and is usually battered when one does. Mine however does not fit that category and is quite simply STUNNING!!
As the TAMLA MOTOWN label is currently celebrating 50 years in the music industry, this is your opportunity to acquire a rare item of great musical history.
COVER: Quite simply STUNNING!! I have no hesitation in strictly grading this album as NEAR MINT!! Original flip back version by G+L. Just starting to show very slight discolouration at rear opening. It is 40years old after all. Front displays full original gloss and just a couple of very minor wrinkles in the laminate. Perfectly flat with no feathering at the opening and this is a strong stout card version. Quite superb and NEAR MINT!
VINYL: Perfectly flat and displaying a deep just pressed look – STUNNING!! The only slight indiscretion is a small extremely light stylus touch on track one which does not affect play whatsoever. Otherwise I will not hesitate in describing this beautiful slab of vinyl as NM.
AUDIO: Just amazing. If I must be very very strict in my grading, and I always try to be so, there is just the faintest trace of crackle here and there, more evident between a track or two, otherwise - stunning MONO sounds!!
LABELS: Truly lovely examples with only the slightest trace of spindle sheen. No obtrusive writing or extraneous labels. LOVELY!!

INNER SLEEVE: Correct TAMLA EMI advert type. No tears or seam
splits or writing. Excellent!!
To sum up. No self respecting record collector should be without this highly collectable item in their collection. Truly superb!!
