I have recently changed the way Igrade my records and I now use the guide below. I never describe a record asmint unless it is still sealed. I do use + signs to show that the quality isslightly better than that described.

I am happy to be able to say thatI have had very, very few complaints over the condition of any of the records Ihave supplied, no doubt because of the care I take over grading. However, ifyou should feel that the condition of a record you receive does not match mygrading or description, Please contact me in the first instance and I will behappy to assist.

I grade my records in thefollowing way

MINT:

 The recordis brand new with no marks or deterioration in sound quality. Inserts and coverperfect

EXCELLENT:

Shows signs of being played butwith very little lessening in sound quality. The Cover and inserts might haveslight wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD:

Has been played many times buthas no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marksand occasional light scratches. Cover and inserts will have normal wear andtear/slight sticker damage but no major defects

GOOD:

 Has beenplayed so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated with somedistortion and mild scratches. The cover and inserts suffer from foldingscuffing and split spine, discoloration Ect.

FAIR:

The record is still just playableand has considerable surface noise and may even jump. Cover and content will betorn stained and/or defaced.

POOR:

The record will not playproperly. Covers badly damaged or partly missing

Bad:

Unplayable, possibly broken. Onlyof use as a collection filler.
