Description

WELCOME TO OUR AUCTION!

On offer today is an original 1982 uk issue of The Fall's 'Room to Live'
Recorded pretty much after 'Hex enduction hour' this LP was built up of much lengthier songs. And this was the last LP they would record for Kamera records. (Don't be confused by the fact that this IS a UK first pressing even though it was manufactured in France, Kamera pressed all their records in France for financial reasons (I.e. It was cheaper than getting them pressed in the uk!)
This is a genuine 1982 UK 1st Press Issue (KAM 011) on the silver Kamera label complete with original Matt finish sleeve!
Sleeve Condition : EX : The sleeve is in remarkable condition with good sharp corners, no wear to front and back panels, no seam wear,. The only thing to say it seems to have a small browned section at the back, looks pretty neat though so it could be a manufacturer issue? You tell me.. Apart from that it's pretty flawless!
Record condition : EX+ : Both sides have little to no signs of use whatsoever, Both sides gleam like new with only the lightest marks ever! (Probably where it's been taken out and put back in the inner sleeve a few times over the past 35 years, both sides have been play tested and to be fair it plays like new. Enough said.

Grading system.

  • MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
  • EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
  • VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
  • GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
  • FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
  • POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
  • BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
