Description
Rare original 1973 first pressing of The Faust Tapes, on Virgin VC-501. This is the true first pressing, with the "fluted spine" (flattened, or pinched ends), the black & White Roger Dean logo label with no information, and the 1U/1U stampers. The disc is gorgeously near mint, and plays almost flawlessly. The cover has a little bit of ring wear noticeable on the swirl design side, but not on the side with the typed writing, which is nearly perfect. There is an old price sticker from the Wherehouse record store chain, which can easily be removed with lighter fluid, but I kept it on because it is kind of a historic sticker. The fluted spine and all corners and edges are in perfect shape. There is a name (Sky) written on the side one label. No big deal, I don't think. A beautiful copy.
