Description
Here is a very nice original copy of The Five's 1981 release of "Napalm Beach" b/w "Excite Me" on P&C records, no. 101031.
This is one of a very limited pressing, said to be 250 copies.
Markings in the dead wax are "101031A QCA RS" on the A-side, and "101031B QCA RS" on the B-side. The number "2" inside a circle is on both sides.
Visually, the record is EX (VG++) both sides, but there is some crackle, pops, and background noise in the quiet portions at the beginning and end of each song. The A-side has one very loud pop. The labels are nice, with some wrinkling around the center hole on the B-side.
The picture sleeve is not your usual sleeve, but is just a folded piece of paper with the crease along the bottom edge. No glued edges. The ink they used on the sleeve is glossy and quite heavy, and it caused the paper to cup a bit under the ink. It almost looks like it was silk screened. There is very minor ring wear which is really only apparent as a lesser amount of gloss. The top edge is a little worn and a bit yellowed, and there is a spot of discoloration at the top right when viewed from the front. No tears or writing.
Please listen to both sides and judge the sound quality for yourself. No filtering or other processing has been done on these files.
