BROTHER 2500 Stereo
Compatible Quadrophonic Sound
Originally from South Africa, the Flames were spotted by Beach Boy Al Jardine in London. He told Carl Wilson, who in turn signed the band to Brother Records as The Flame. The band came to the US to record this LP released in 1970 and produced by Carl Wilson. Two members Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar went on to join the Beach Boys. Later Fataar was a Rutle.

- Near perfect album of powerful rockers, ballads, mood pieces, and symphonic masterpieces. Many listeners find similarities with the White Album period Beatles.
- First commercial rock album to be released in Quadraphonic sound. The recording engineer Steve Desper created it to sound best on the passive matrix surround systems that were being introduced in 1970. Played loud on 4 speakers this album rocks.
- Unique in that it is the only non-Beach Boys act released on the Brother label.
- Comes with all the original inserts - Poster of the band and an insert outlining how to listen in Quad Sound using the Dynaco setup.
- Record: VG+
- Cover: VG no seam splits but has the following: dented corners, slight water stain bottom right corner, crease, some dirt staining - it's a white cover for crying out loud!
- Poster: measures 19 X 24 inches - pristine looking, never hung, no tape or tape residue, no tack holes, no edge damage at all. Since it is an original insert of the LP, naturally it had been folded to fit inside the cover.
- Quad Sound insert in perfect condition
- It is my understanding that the Flame CD is a needle drop and unofficial issue
